If you are thinking of having your church pews upholstered, the first thing you’ll probably want to know is how much of an investment are we facing? In general, pew upholstery and reupholstery is less expensive than replacing your pews by 50 to 60 percent. What does that mean exactly?

To get a quote started, all we would need is the quantities and measurements of your pews, as well as a few pictures. If you’re just wanting a rough estimate to get the conversation started at your next committee meeting here’s what you will need…

The most common scenario is that your pews are upholstered seat and back and you want that redone. In that case, you are looking at roughly $45 per running foot for fabric, new foam, and labor. If only your seats are upholstered, you will be at roughly $35 per running foot, and if your whole pew is upholstered (seat, back, and the back of the back where the hymnal racks are) then you will be landing around $50 per running foot.

There are other factors that will affect your investment as well. Travel is a part of what we do. We have teams traveling nationwide but depending on where you are, your cost could go up or down. Your pews could be a special design, maybe they are curved, and things like that also have to be considered.

While the numbers above are a great place to start, we would be glad to help you through the details and get you a real quote. Call us and schedule a visit from one of our experts, we’d love to help.
